We hit the road on our own to Tagaytay and got lost in some area. We followed GPS and it brought us to go on and out highway for three times sequentially. We regarded this day as 'A Highway Trip'.
After arrival at night, we found out it's a raining, freezing and foggy place. It made me shiver, couldn't bear standing outside.
It's a comfortable stay and nice location where we can gaze at the lake from higher floor. the condos with green walls are well decorated and have good facilities including aircon, kitchen tools, one double size bed and one sofa bed. After we checked in and placed luggage, we had a dinner at Gerry's restaurant in front of our condo. Much people went there cuz the food is delicious and the atmosphere is bright and clean. but I just remember the wind at that night is bone-chilling.
In fact, .we didn't have any plan for this trip. Until the next coming morning, we googled how we could start our trip. So the Taal Volcano showed up, we went to Talisay Port and asked for a tour. It was highly conspicuous walking with foreigners. I could anticipate local people would come to us immediately. Wherever we went, the local tour sellers followed us.
Eventually, we chose one of men willing to give us discount.
Here is the budget for our tour: Taal Volcano Tour:
Boat: 1500/per boat(maximum 7 people)
Horse Back riding Fee: 500/per pax
Entrance Fee: 100/one adult
Docking Fee: 50/per boat
Average Price: 850/per pax
The boat is negotiable with the owner, yet the rest of tour fees has regulated by their tourism agency. I think the price is reasonable compared to our previous experience. But the tour guide is not necessary.
After going through 40 mins rugged and craggy road, we finally arrived at the top of mountain.
Finally we met The deep and mysterious lake called taal lake
We could stand at the edge of the mountain and took several pictures.
From our view, the lake is tranquil and has different blue in the surface. Maybe due to depth, it presents different color blue, which looks like there is a giant monster sleeping and hiding inside the lake. Just my imagination, though. I heard this is one of the smallest volcano all over the world. really appreciate we could share this moment with this active volcano.
While we almost finished the tour, it strikes me that I am just one of the passenger for those people living near volcano. They has been at the risk of eruption of active volcano, yet still make a living via tourism in their hometown. this thought that nothing we can do for them made me upset.
That night, we held a party called ALL YOU CAN EAT for celebrating our few rest days. First, we purchased several kinds of meat and vegetable which were worth approximate over 2000. we didn't finish all of them. Honestly, it was beyond my appetite and nearly caused me throw up.
GK condonz- Wind Residence 23th/6th floor(5pax)
Two Apartments with Lake View: P9400 /2 night
On the whole, it's a simple but unforgettable trip. I will remember that time as we climbed up the top, overlooked the lake, how the winds gushes through my face and blew my hair fiercely. It was sort of a hassle but our effort was worth it.
